清秦院の庭
臨済宗の寺院である清秦院は、岡山藩池田家の初代と2代目の菩提寺。
墓所には犬島の石で出来た巨大な墓がある。
禅宗の寺院らしい庭は本殿の北側にあるが、ここで行った作庭は山門から内庭に至る石敷きを中心とした部分。
石敷きは太鼓敷き(中心が高く膨らむ)をほどこしてある。
素材は中国産の錆石の大判。
「地蔵菩薩座像」は次年度に製作。万成石製。

Garden
Seitai-In, a Rinzai sect temple, is the family temple of the Ikeda Family, especially of the first and the second feudal lord. In the graveyard, there is a huge tomb made of a stone from Inujima, one of the islands of Setouchi interior sea.
Its garden, originally made by a typical Zen style, is situated on the north part of the temple. My intervention to it was mainly on the pavement, starting from the gate up to the courtyard. I employed the Taiko-jiki style (Taiko means a drum in Japanese) to make it, using one of the Chinese granites called Sabi-ishi.
清秦院「地蔵菩薩座像」
平成11年に亡くなられた、「清秦院十三室」のご供養のために造られたこの像は、「室」出身地の福山市に向けられ、夕日をうける時間に朱く染まる。
